Hungry, gaping … the grave awaits
ready to devour, digest and delete
With a cadence – distorted and defiant
worms march to a perverted beat
penetrating my flesh, drilling bones

The grave awaits … an illusion
Like a magician’s hand it deludes
Flowers are laid by dear ones 
But the decay persists, stench hidden
The wreaths – a facade to foulness

The grave awaits … an appointment
I must be there…
For the penalty of sin is death
Upon the flesh the feast continues
Dust animated, to dust I return

The grave awaits … a prelude
to life – to sentience – to eternity
God’s gift of life everlasting
I receive, the crucified Lord Christ
the resurrected and ever living Christ

A defeated foe … the grave awaits
Lord Jesus’ blood powerful and precious
A sweetsmelling savour unto God
cleanses and conquers…
Born again – I live again! Hallelujah!

O enemies of Israel, hate to thy heart’s content!
But here’s the warning; it is thou that shall lament!
Hast thou not heard?  Hast thou not read?
Thy rockets shall return, and thou wilt perish instead!
Thy craft and thy cunning shall not deliver
For Israel shall prevail!  Israel is forever!

O Israel, thou art loved with an everlasting love!
The Iron Dome of God shields thee from above!
Thy enemies flee from before thee with trembling!
Ashkelon shall not crumble, His hand defending!
The Man of War shall tear their flesh altogether!
Israel shall be preserved!  Israel is forever!  

Ye that despise freedom, and abhor liberty
Ye that oppress with fear and unspeakable cruelty
Your prophet is a loss, and your god a lifeless idol
Ye that esteem The Apple of His Eye your rival
Melchizedek shall smite you, though ye endeavor
Israel is prince with God!  Israel is forever!

O bless’d Jerusalem, thy foes dwell amidst thee
Within and without thy gates, and beyond the Sea
But thou art cradled by the Sun of Righteousness! 
Thou shalt go upon thy cobbled streets in quietness!
The Star of David brightly burns without measure!
Israel is the preeminent!  Israel is forever!

I will see my Christ on clouds in a brightened sky
Coming with glory, unrivalled in authority and might
Into the air I am taken, no more a dole or sigh
With blessed joy, in Him, begins the supernal eternal flight
In time passed, the sun before veiled its face
Christ Jesus upon a cross hung, piercing nails the support
Perfect love, the Sacrificial Lamb – died – took my place
Blood of atonement, for sure only His, they report
Thenceforth, a gateway by Providence for treasures to gain
When the sun darkens

Like His form of shining greatness, a body – spirit – bestowed
With the air I blend, and gracefully I soar
The Discoverer, supersonic jets – houseflies within a room
A flash – in time immeasurable, light years I go – and more
With His love I tire not, by His grace I am perfect
The Almighty Sovereign Being, in Him, for Him – completeness
Stars, planets of infinite galaxies, elliptical and spiral, I effect
Then, with a shout of praise, to His feet I go – repleteness
Dreams of a heart, but one glorious day absolute ecstasy
